largest parks, designated as a large urban park and features many active

more natural in character and offers mostly passive recreational uses and
an area that offers more active recreational uses with some overlap. The
team chose to designate these areas as Natural zone & Sports Zone in
hopes of developing or discouraging future development in those areas
accordingly. The team's task was to evaluate needs established by the
community input meetings organized by the City of San Antonio Parks &
Recreation Department Staff and to recommend improvements to the
park funded by the City of San Antonio's Quality of life Bond Funds and
then to implement those improvements. The recommended improvements
include development of a New Park entry serving the Sports zone or
active recreation area, reconstructing the old main entrance and reducing
vehicular traffic in the Natural Zone by realigning roads. Other
improvements include street lighting for new park entry, traffic bumps to
slow traffic, restrooms with water fountain and Lighting in Sports zone,

facility, senior citizen center, mental health services, health club, library,

display areas for the Campus' nearby childcare facility and elementary school.
The trail head then converges into a six-foot wide trail, following the existing
terrain into a native tree covered forest. Amongst the forest, a vine covered
trellis anchors a stone paved amphitheater and provides another gathering
space. The trail continues to meander through the forest and terminates at a
