Co-founders Albert Fernandez and Leticia Zavala established the firm as CF Zavala Group in 2003 and incorporated as CFZ Group in 2005. The firm’s mission is to incorporate the concerns of the Client, with the unique discipline of Landscape Architecture to develop a state-of-the-art design. This encompasses a full understanding of historical significance, preservation of existing conditions, regulatory influences, community input and the Client’s financial constraints. The firm strives to provide personal service to its’ Client’s needs and requirements of which are of the highest priority.

The firm brings 60+ years of combined experience to its clientele. Design and technical services are provided for a broad range of clients from the private and governmental sector to community groups. Our services are procured for the development of educational campuses, multifamily housing, subdivision planning, institutional campuses, office, commercial and retail, mixed-use master planning, greenways, waterfronts, sports complexes, parks and recreational master planning. The firm’s design experience encompasses all aspects of Landscape Architecture. These include hardscape development, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, handicapped accessibility, grading and drainage issues, and proper selection of plant material, lighting, water features, and irrigation systems.

With environmental issues at today’s forefront, CFZ Group, LLC’s Landscape Architectural design focus incorporates the disciplines of ecological awareness as well as artistic talent, and engineering knowledge into the development of each project while striving for a true sense of place.
